Verbio Vereinigte BioEnergie AG expects an operating profit decline for the 2022/2023 financial year. As the company reports, in the fiscal year that has been running since July, an EBITDA of 300 million euros should be generated. According to Verbio (WKN: A0JL9W, ISIN: DE000A0JL9W6, Chart ), the forecast is based on the current sales, raw material and energy price levels and the targeted production capacity utilization.
The company therefore expects a decline in operating profit compared to 2021/2022. After the group had repeatedly increased its EBITDA forecast for 2021/2022 from initially EUR 150 million over the past few months, the most recent forecast was an EBITDA of EUR 500 million for 2021/2022. The financial year is now over, the annual report is to be presented on Monday.
„Due to the planned high investments in internationalization, capacity expansion and product diversification financed with our own funds, net financial assets of around EUR 30 million are expected at the end of the financial year,” Verbio continues. At the end of the past fiscal year, net financial assets should be in the order of 300 million euros.
„This forecast is subject to the proviso that the further course of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine and its effects will not have any significant additional negative effects on the biofuel market and in particular the procurement of raw materials and energy,” says Verbio.
